Vicksburg is a producing conventional oil field located in ultra-deepwater in the US and is operated by Shell Offshore. The field is located in block Mississippi Canyon 393 and De Soto Canyon 353, with water depth of 7,375 feet.

The field is owned by China National Offshore Oil and Royal Dutch Shell.


Production from Vicksburg

The Vicksburg conventional oil field recovered 22.32% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production will approximately 20.27 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 17 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 35.79 Mmboe, comprised of 31.32 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 26.81 bcf of natural gas reserves. Vicksburg conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
