Wadi Aswad is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Oman and is operated by Daleel Petroleum. The field is located in block Block 5 (Wadi Aswad).

Production from Wadi Aswad

The Wadi Aswad conventional oil field recovered 44.19% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 54.48 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 35 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2081. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 315.42 Mmboe, comprised of 285.17 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 181.5 bcf of natural gas reserves. Wadi Aswad conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.07% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
