Waitsia is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Australia and is operated by AWE Perth. The field is located in block L 2 and L 1.

An expansion project is associated with the Waitsia, namely Waitsia Stage 2. This project is currently in the construction stage, expected to start in 2023.

Field participation details

Production from Waitsia

The Waitsia conventional gas field recovered 3.66% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2026. The peak production will approximately 0.06 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 237 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 121.19 Mmboe, comprised of 0.18 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 726.07 bcf of natural gas reserves. Waitsia conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
