Production from West Brae
The West Brae heavy oil field recovered 82.99% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2001. The peak production was approximately 26.95 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 7 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2046.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 22.46 Mmboe, comprised of 19.6 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 17.17 bcf of natural gas reserves. West Brae heavy oil field reserves accounts 0.05% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
