Western Surat Gas Project CBM Field, Australia

Western Surat Gas Project is a producing cbm field located onshore Australia and is operated by Stuart Petroleum Cooper Basin Oil. The field is located in block ATP 767P, ATP 889P, PL 1022, PL 1023, and PL 1024.

Three expansion projects are associated with the Western Surat Gas Project cbm field, namely Roma North Development Phase 4, Roma North West Project and Roma North Development Phase 2. The expansion projects are currently in the feasibility and feed stage.

The field is owned by Senex Energy.


Production from Western Surat Gas Project

The Western Surat Gas Project cbm field recovered 2.65% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2041. The peak production will approximately 47 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2051.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 72.62 Mmboe, comprised of 435.7 bcf of natural gas reserves. Western Surat Gas Project cbm field reserves accounts 1.59% of total remaining reserves of producing cbm fields globally.
