Xux is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Mexico and is operated by Petroleos Mexicanos. The field is located in block A-0371-Xux, with water depth of 49 feet.
An expansion project is associated with the Xux, namely Xux Development. This project is currently in the approval stage.

Production from Xux
The Xux conventional oil field recovered 51.15% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 71.66 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 320 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2043. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 241.85 Mmboe, comprised of 81.55 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 961.81 bcf of natural gas reserves. Xux conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.05% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
