Zaafrane is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Tunisia and is operated by Mazarine Energy. The field is located in block Zaafrane.

Production from Zaafrane

The Zaafrane conventional oil field recovered 51.86% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 1.49 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 3 Mmcfd of natural gas and 0.18 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 2.31 Mmboe, comprised of 1.5 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 2.6 bcf of natural gas reserves and 0.38 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
