Offshore company Bourbon Marine & Logistics has secured an integrated logistics contract from Total E&P Namibia to support a deep offshore exploration campaign.

Bourbon will carry out an exploration programme in South Namibia in 2020. The company will provide a logistics base, freight forwarding, custom clearance, material storage and warehousing operations services.

Additionally, Bourbon will provide handling and lifting services, support marine port visits, tank cleaning services and other logistics operations related to material and working personnel. The latest contract comes after the success of the company’s first assignment in Bulgaria with respect to the integrated logistics.

The company noted that it will provide integrated logistics services through a local branch Bourbon Logistics Namibia with local partner Logistics Support Services (LSS), supporting its key strategy to work with local partners.

Bourbon Marine & Logistics Oil & Gas logistics vice-president Grégoire Durand said: “We are extremely pleased to support Total E&P in this new exploration project, and will ensure to provide efficient cost effective integrated logistics services, with the help of our local partner.

“The deployment of such integrated services contract for our number one customer prefigures a new way of sustainable cooperation and optimized services delivery to our customers.”
