Sierra Oil & Gas plans to divest its minority stake in Block 2 located in Mexico’s Round 1 licence round.

Sierra Oil holds a 45% stake in Block 2, which covers an area of 195km² in the Sureste Basin in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico, US.

Based in Mexico, Sierra Oil is an oil and gas exploration and production company.

UK-based oil and gas company i3 Energy Limited is looking for a potential farm-in partner to farm-out interests in Blocks 13/23(d) (Liberator) and 13/23(c) (Liberator West).

The Liberator block is located 120km north-east of Aberdeen within the production license 1987 in the South Halibut Basin of the Moray Firth Province in the UK North Sea.

The transaction is expected to help i3 Energy to develop the Liberator field, as well as appraise the Liberator West field.

Danish shipping company Viking Supply Ships has entered an agreement to divest its Freyja Viking, Nanna Viking and Sol Viking medium-sized platform supply vessels (PSV).

Freyja Viking was built in 2007 and has a deadweight tonnage of 3,800t and gross tonnage of 2,575t. Nanna Viking, built in 2006, has a deadweight tonnage of 3,677t and gross tonnage of 2,596t. Sol Viking was also built in 2006 and has a deadweight tonnage of 3,600t and gross tonnage of 2,574t.

Shell Integrated Gas Thailand and Thai Energy Company have divested their 22.22% interest in the Bongkot field and adjoining acreage to PTT Exploration & Production Public Company (PTTEP) and PTTEP International, a subsidiary of PTTEP, for $750m.

The divestment also includes stake in Blocks 15, 16 and 17 and Block G12/48.

PTTEP is the operator of the Bongkot field and holds 66.6667% interest in the field, while the remaining interest is held by Total.

Shell Integrated Gas Thailand is a natural gas producer, while Thai Energy Company is a retailer of oil and petroleum products and both are subsidiaries of Royal Dutch Shell.

PTT Exploration & Production Public Company (PTTEP) and PTTEP International are exploration and production companies.

All companies involved in the transaction are based in Thailand.
