Westwood Global Energy Group has acquired RigLogix from DHI Group, a software development and engineering consultant firm based in the US.

Based in UK, the acquirer company is a provider of intelligence and insights services to the exploration and oilfield markets, while the target company is an offshore rig market data specialist.

The transaction will expand Westwood’s product offerings for the upstream market.

Japan Petroleum Exploration (JAPEX) has signed an agreement to divest its stake in Inpex North Caspian Sea (INCS) to INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX).

INCS owns 7.56% interest in the offshore North Caspian Sea block located in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Covering an area of 5,575km², the block comprises the East Block and the West Block. The East Block contains the Kashagan oil field.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Oceaneering’s market position in the offshore renewable energy market.

Subsea 7 has signed an agreement to acquire Siem Offshore Contractors (SOC) for €140m ($174m). The acquisition also includes the Siem Aimery cable lay vessel and Siem Moxie support vessel.

Based in the UK, Subsea 7 is a subsea engineering, construction and services company, while SOC is a German installer of subsea inter-array cables and subsidiary of Siem Offshore.

The acquisition will enable Subsea 7 to expand its presence in the renewables segment.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2018.
