Elite Control Systems' contract has been renewed to provide comprehensive process control software systems and support for an oil production platform off the coast of Azerbaijan.
Elite Control Systems has been providing a fully operational, customised process software control system and technical assistance for Chirag offshore production platform on the Azeri Chirag Guneshli oilfield in the Caspian Sea for the last 20 years.
The company said that it can access the platform’s fire and gas control system remotely from its headquarters located in Livingston, Scotland.
This remote access and usage of automated control systems enables smooth operations at the Chirag platform. It also ensures consistent production without any interruption.
In the last 20 years, Elite Control Systems provided technical guidance for system upgrades and adjustments to the platform to improve safety and efficiency.
Elite Control Systems technical director Ewan McAllister said: "The renewal of this contract to continue to maintain these systems and provide around-the-clock control support for Chirag is a real testament to the long and mutually productive relationship that we share with this highly valued customer in Azerbaijan.
"Clearly, they have confidence not only in the integrity of our software systems, but in our expertise and reliability. We look forward to working with them to ensure that Chirag continues to perform at optimum levels for years to come."
Elite Control Systems was established in 1992. Specialising in systems integration, it assists companies across various industries to use fast-moving process control, automation and technology.
