WesternGeco has won two contracts from Engie E&P Norge to acquire and process towed 4D seismic data in production licence 153.
Gjøa licence is located in the northern part of the Norwegian North Sea.

The survey work will be carried out by WesternGeco Magellan vessel and is expected to be completed in August this year.
A similar 3D survey was conducted on Engie E&P operated Gjøa field ten years ago.
Situated in one of Engie E&P's core areas, the Gjøa field is the fifth largest producing field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

Alongside acquiring the information, WesternGeco will be responsible for processing of 4D data, which is expected to begin in August and continue through the first quarter of next year.
The processing will be carried out at the company’s processing facility in Tananger, Norway.
Engie E&P Norge operates the PL153 Gjøa licence with a 30% interest.
Other partners are Petoro AS (30%), Wintershall Norge AS (20%), Det Norske Shell (12%) and DEA Norge (8%).
