Petrofac, Repsol Sinopec Resources UK and TechnipFMC have formed an industry alliance to maximise oil and gas recovery from the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

The firms will work together to provide owners of oil and gas discoveries near Repsol Sinopec’s existing North Sea infrastructure hubs with an ‘integrated, technically robust and commercially flexible solution’.

According to the partnership, Petrofac will provide all services related to topsides engineering and operations support.

TechnipFMC will implement its iFEED front-end engineering and design solution and its integrated subsea business model iEPCI.

Repsol Sinopec will offer access to its facilities under the industry-led infrastructure code of practice.

The firms will jointly offer subsea and topsides engineering, project management and operating expertise to create a complete offering, from the wellhead to export route.

Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services has been awarded a drilling management services contract by Carnarvon Petroleum for latter’s Buffalo redevelopment, offshore East Timor in the Timor Sea.

The agreement covers planning, detailed well design, drilling execution and all related procurement project.

This work will be managed by Petrofac’s Well Engineering group in Perth, Australia, following a competitive tender process.
