Italian oil and gas industry contractor Saipem has secured several engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contracts worth more than $500m.

Saudi Arabian state-owned company Saudi Aramco has awarded Saipem a long-term agreement that would be in force until next year.

The work encompasses the EPCI of a 36in carbon steel pipeline onto the existing network around the Ju’aymah area. It also covers brownfield services at Saudi Aramco’s associated offshore platform.

Saipem has also secured a contract from Eni Angola for the Cabaça and Agogo Early phase one developments in West Africa.

It will provide EPCI services of risers, production flowlines, jumpers and the installation of a subsea production system (SPS).

It will perform these services at water depths ranging between 400m and 600m. They will be carried out by the company’s FDS and Saipem 3000 vessels.
