Subsea 7 has secured another engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for an offshore project in Saudi Arabia.

The latest contract, awarded by Saudi Aramco, encompasses the delivery of second package for the Marjan increment projects.

Subsea 7 has categorised the contract as ‘large’, which means the contract could value between $300m and $500m for the company. The scope of works includes EPCI of new tie-in platforms, production deck manifolds, nearly 217km of rigid pipelines and 145km of power cables. It will also deliver a fibre optic cable in the Marjan field in water depths of around 45m to 52m.

Subsea 7 will execute the project works in consortium with L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE), a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro. The offshore execution is expected to be carried out in 2021 and 2022.

The latest contract comes just a week after Subsea 7 was selected by Saudi Aramco for the delivery of three offshore orders with a combined value ranging between $50m and $150m.

It included EPCI for a total of 28 jackets. Eight new jackets will be installed in the Marjan and Zuluf fields, ten in the Safaniya and Zuluf fields and another ten jackets in the Zuluf and Ribyan fields.
