Impact of Covid-19 on North American oil and pipeline sector

Weak economic outlook coupled with the impact of Covid-19 has hit the oil and gas industry in general, the North American oil and gas pipeline sector being no exception. Major upcoming pipeline projects have either been stalled or delayed, pipeline companies in the region are reducing capex of upcoming projects and operators have been deferring financial investment decisions (FIDs) and laying off their workforce to keep the operations going.
