Technip will provide support services to Statoil for the Gygrid field development in the Norwegian Sea for €90m ($124m).

The field is located off the coast of Norway, at a water depth of 265-330m.

Under the contract, Technip will provide engineering, procurement, welding and installation of flowlines including a 19.5km pipe-in-pipe production flowline, a water injection flowline and a gas lift flowline.

The contract also covers EPC for subsea equipment installation, and the installation and tie-ins of new risers and umbilicals.

Technip will carry out the flowline welding of Statoil’s spoolbase in Orkanger, Norway, while the installation will be performed by Apache II, the company’s pipelay vessel, in mid-2012.
