Woodside has intersected a gas pay in the Martin-1 well in permit WA-404-P on the Carnarvon Basin, offshore Western Australia.

The well encountered a gas pay of 100m gross within the Triassic target and has been drilled to a total depth of 4,778m.

Wireline logging confirmed the discovery through the recovery of gas samples to the surface and the establishment of a gas pressure gradient.

Woodside is the 100% equity owner and operator of the WA-404-P permit.
