Total E&P UK will receive a range of crane services from EnerMech, under a £10m ($16.2m) contract.
The contract will include the Elgin, Franklin, Alwyn and Dunbar platforms in the North Sea and Total’s onshore crane requirements at St Fergus.
EnerMech will provide crane operation, maintenance and engineering support services, supply of rigging equipment lofts and lifting equipment inspection.
The contract has five one-year options.
EnerMech Managing Director Doug Duguid said that the firm is investing millions in upgrading facilities at its Aberdeen base and on new equipment.
“This investment and the continuous development of our technical and engineering capacity is a major factor in securing the confidence and trust of major operators such as Total who are looking for fresh thinking and innovative and cost effective solutions,” Duguid added.
