Wood Group to Commission Chevron Semi-Submersible Hub

Wood Group has secured a 42-month contract from Chevron to commission the Jack and St Malo semi-submersible hub production facility 7,000ft deep in the Walker Ridge section of the Gulf of Mexico.

DSI, Wood Group PSN’s commissioning services business, will be responsible for the installation of the platform, which will have an initial design capacity of 170,000 barrels per day of oil.

DSI’s commissioning will be performed at a South Texas fabrication yard where the topsides will be fabricated and integrated with the hull and offshore during final installation and start-up.

Mustang will carry out detailed design work for the Jack and St Malo topsides facilities and the integrated control and safety systems.
