Parker Hannifin has secured a contract from Subsea 7 to supply mooring equipment for the Guara and Lula North East deepwater project off Brazil. Under the contract, Parker will provide a steel wire tether system, which will ensure the submerged buoys are fixed at the Guara and Lula NE

Parker Hannifin has secured a contract from Subsea 7 to supply mooring equipment for the Guara and Lula North East deepwater project off Brazil.

Under the contract, Parker will provide a steel wire tether system, which will ensure the submerged buoys are fixed at the Guara and Lula NE fields.

The tether system comprises 34 sheathed tethering lines, each more than 6,000ft long, reports upstreamonline.com.

The company will engineer and construct the mooring lines at its Tonsberg, Norway manufacturing plant.
