AGR Drilling Services has signed a contract with Eni Norge to use its technology at Eni’s multi-well projects in the Barents and Norwegian seas.

AGR’s cutting transportation system will be employed for 24 wells to be drilled by Eni’s Norwegian arm.

The CTS will be used to develop the Goliat field, which is located about 85km north-west of Hammerfest in the far north of the Barents Sea.

The company will drill 22 wells on Goliat with new semi-submersible rig Scarabeo 8, and two wells on the Marulk field in the Norwegian Sea by Scarabeo 5.

The contract is for four years, with a one-year optional extension.
