FMC Technologies has won a contract from Shell Development to supply subsea production and associated topside systems for the development of the Prelude field in Australia.
Under the contract, FMC will provide seven large-bore subsea production trees, production manifolds, riser bases, subsea control systems and other related equipment.
The Prelude field is located 820ft deep in the Browse Basin and will be Shell’s first field to use a floating liquefied natural gas facility.
The two companies also signed an aftermarket agreement, under which FMC will provide installation and commissioning services for the project.
Orders associated with the aftermarket agreement will be delivered in 2011.
