Oil services company Gulf Offshore has won a five-year contract from TAQA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) to provide offshore platform supply services.

The contract will perform supply services in the North Sea on the Aker 09 DE platform supply vessel, Highland Prestige.

Gulf offshore said that the charter was won following a "rigorous tendering process".

“This contract is a further display of TAQA’s commitment to becoming an important player in the North Sea oil and gas industry,” TAQA managing director, Leo Koot, said.

"The Highland Prestige provides a large deck capacity coupled with low fuel consumption, important to TAQA in helping to reduce our environmental footprint."
