Aker Wins Support Contract for Reliance’s Bay of Bengal Fields

Aker Solutions has been a awarded a $25m contract by Reliance Industries to provide support services to its field developments located in the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean.

The contract covers the inspection, testing and maintenance of subsea equipment and tools for the MA-D6 and KG-D6 fields for three years.

Aker Solutions president subsea Asia Pacific, Dave Hutchinson said that the deal was in line with the company's business strategy.

"We are happy to be entrusted with servicing the fields for Reliance. With this contract, they are utilising our life-cycle offerings capability, which covers all phases of a field's lifetime. This is fully in line with our business strategy," he said.

Aker Solutions previously worked on subsea production systems for Reliance in the KG-D6 block.
