Aker Solutions has entered into a $37m contract with Petrobras to provide equipment for the Jubarte field, offshore Brazil.

Aker will provide emergency shutdown valves (ESDVs) and eight Mobo subsea boosting systems. The contract follows a similar deal for eight subsea boosting systems that was awarded to Aker in May 2007.

The equipment will be manufactured in Curitiba, Aker's headquarters in Brazil.

In September 2009 Aker successfully completed the installation of the first Mobo manufactured in Brazil. The pump was installed at a 1,590m depth in Golfinho field.
