Aker Solutions has signed two contracts to provide subsea connection systems for the P-55 platform, which will be used at the Roncador field offshore Brazil.
One contract has been signed with Petrobras for two rigid jumpers, three pipeline-end termination systems (Plets), as well as tools and accessories. The other contract is signed with Subsea 7 for one set of 12in ILT (t-shaped pipeline) and two sets of 12in Plets. This machinery will be used for gas and oil pipelines’ interconnection of the P-55 platform’s module 3.
The P-55 platform will start work at the Roncador field located in the Campos Basin in 2013.
The Roncador field is spread across a 111 square km area in water depths of 1,500m to 1,900m.
The two contracts enable Aker to be the only provider of connection systems for the P-55 platform, with both sides of the platform using the company’s connection systems.
