CNOOC Fields Start Production

China's CNOOC said two of its independent oilfields located off the coast of China have started production. The Wei Zhou 11-1 East field in the South China Sea has three wells online and is expected to hit a peak production of more than 3,000bpd within the year, the company said.

The Wei Zhou 11-1 East field in the South China Sea has three wells online and is expected to hit a peak production of more than 3,000bpd within the year, the company said.

The BoZhong 3-2, which is located in Bohai Bay and made up of seven producing wells, is expected to reach a peak production of 4,800bpd this year.

The state-owned oil company holds a 100% interest and is operator of both fields.
