Aker Solutions has sealed a contract to deliver a complete monoethylene glycol (MEG) reclamation unit to US independent oil and gas company Noble Energy.

The contract, worth than NKr300m, will install the technology, which prevents blockages in subsea pipelines by halting ice and hydrate formation.

The MEG unit will be used at Noble Energy's Tamar project in the Mediterranean Sea. The estimated delivery time is the second quarter of 2011.

"Aker Solutions is currently experiencing an increasing demand for MEG reclamation units," said president of Aker Solutions' process systems business in Norway, Børrre Sveen.
