Aker Solutions Wins KBB Contract

Aker Solutions has been selected by Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company Sdn Bhd (KPOC) for the Kebabangan (KBB) Northern Hub development project located in the South China Sea, 130km offshore Sabah in East Malaysia. The estimated value of the four-year contract is $27.8m (NKr 170m).

Aker Solutions has been selected by Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company Sdn Bhd (KPOC) for the Kebabangan (KBB) Northern Hub development project located in the South China Sea, 130km offshore Sabah in East Malaysia.

The estimated value of the four-year contract is $27.8m (NKr 170m).

Under the contract, Aker Solutions will provide detailed design and engineering support through to the start-up phase of project.

The KBB facility comprises single integrated drilling, oil and gas production, utilities and quarters (PDUQ) topsides mounted on a fixed eight-leg jacket in 142m of water.

KPOC is run in a joint venture with 40% interest owned by Petronas, 30% by ConocoPhillips Sabah Gas and the rest owned by Shell Energy Asia.
