Yemeni tribesmen have blown up an oil pipeline transporting crude to the Red Sea, a provincial official said.

The group are believed to be angry about the death of a mediator killed by mistake during an airstrike targeting al Qaeda.

“Tribesmen blew up a pipeline that carries crude from Safir to Ras Isa Port on the Red Sea,” the official said, according to Reuters.
