Brazilian oil and gas company OGX Petróleo e Gás said it has identified gas and condensates in the shallow waters of the Santos Basin offshore Brazil.

The discovery was made in the Santonian section of well 1-OGX-11D-SPS, Natal prospect, located in the BM-S-59 block, situated 104km off the coast at a water depth of approximately 170m.

The company said further drilling is underway and the well will be drilled up to 6,100m.
