Chevron recorded a decrease of 9.93% in total oil and gas production to 7,33,103.42 boe/d in May 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Chevron grew 6.19% in May 2020 from 6,90,344.03 boe/d in May 2019.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production increased by 16.03% from the same period in 2019.

The company’s oil production declined 6.89% to 3,90,063.22 bd in May 2020 from the previous month, while gas production declined by 13.61% to 1,678.51 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 6.91% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production rose by 21.97%. Out of the total oil and gas production in May 2020, oil production held a 53.21% share, while gas production held a 39.47% share.


Looking at the states where Chevron recorded the highest oil and gas production in May 2020, Texas figured at the top, accounting for a 0.04% share. The company produced 3,53,634.85 boe/d in the state in May 2020, a decrease of 10.23% from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 19,39,830.67 boe/d in Texas in 2020, recording a decrease of 43.22% from the same period in 2019.



Chevron witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Weld county in May 2020. Out of all the counties, Weld county held a share of 22.8% for the firm. The company produced 1,67,129.75 boe/d in Weld county in May 2020, a decrease of 10.13% in production when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the county produced 8,90,404.74 boe/d for the company in 2020, a 7.45% increase from the same period in 2019.
