Northern Offshore UK has won a contract from Perenco UK for the jack-up drilling rig Energy Enhancer.
The contract calls for two well abandonments on the Welland field in the UK Southern North Sea, which are expected to take 60 days to complete.
The abandonment work will begin after the completion of the rig’s present commitment.
The contract may be extended for up to three additional wells with a duration of 60 days per well.
Northern Offshore CEO Gary Casswell said the firm is looking to strengthen its relationship with Perenco in order to provide safe and efficient operations.
