Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has won a contract worth $8.5m to acquire 3D electromagnetic data offshore Mozambique.
The firm said it will mobilise the vessel BOA Galatea, currently deployed in New Zealand, this month to acquire the data.
The offshore Mozambique survey will run until the second quarter of this year.
EMGS CEO Roar Bekker said the customer often uses 3D EM data to help de-risk hydrocarbon prospects and influence important drilling decisions.
EMGS’ technology supports oil and gas firms in their search for offshore hydrocarbons.
