BG Group has appointed AMEC to provide engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management support for its facilities in the central North Sea, including the Armada, North Everest and Lomond platforms.

The scope of the three-year contract, worth £140m ($226m), includes the implementation of subsea tiebacks from the Gaupe and North West Seymour wells to the Armada platform hub and a new subsea tieback to the North Everest platform hub.

The contract also includes a feasibility study for developing the Armada platform as a processing hub.

“I am proud of our proven performance, safety record and drive for continuous improvement, all of which I am sure have helped us secure this award,” said AMEC Europe and West Africa managing director John Pearson.
