Noble Corporation has secured contracts with Mexican petroleum company Pemex for the deployment of six jack-up rigs.
The Noble Bill Jennings rig will work for 286 days and Noble Leonard Jones for 272 days, beginning this month.
The Noble John Sandifer jack-up rig will be deployed for 624 days from mid-April.
The remaining three – Lewis Dugger, Gene Rosser and Earl Frederickson – will begin work in late April 2011.
Noble chairman, president and CEO David Williams said that the contracts are a significant step in putting the company’s jack-up fleet back to work in Mexico.
The firm expects to have at least eight jack-ups generating revenue in Mexico by April this year, with opportunities for up to four additional jack-ups.
