ATP Oil & Gas has received a permit from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement to complete a previously drilled well in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

The GC 300 #2 well is situated in Green Canyon Block 300.

Located in 3,454ft of water, the well was sidetracked and encountered a gas reservoir with a total vertical depth of 15,590-15,721ft in 2006.

ATP will resume well operations with the Diamond Ocean Victory rig in 2011.

The firm is operator of the block with a 55% working interest.
