Wood Group Kenny has secured a contract to provide services to support the Browse liquefied natural gas (LNG) development in Broome, Australia.

Subsea engineering company, JP Kenny will partner with related Wood Group companies to perform subsea and pipelines front end engineering design (FEED) for Browse in the Kimberley region.

The project, which commenced in February this year, will continue for next 12-15 months with gas production from Browse expected to start in 2017.

Wood Group Kenny has also been selected by MCS Kenny to conduct riser FEED work for the Browse development and it will support Aker Solutions in delivering design and engineering solutions for the steel catenary risers.

Woodside Energy subsea and pipelines manager Morgan Harland said Wood Group has significant subsea and pipeline engineering skills and expertise and they look forward to working with Wood Group and their partners on the successful completion of these important engineering contracts.
