Dragon Oil has completed drilling and testing the Dzheitune (Lam) B / 157 development well on its offshore acreage in the Turkmenistan sector of the Caspian Sea.
The well, drilled to a depth of 2,900m, was completed using the Iran Khazar rig.
Dragon Oil encountered an oil flow of 1,767bopd during the initial testing of the well.
The Iran Khazar rig was moved to the next slot and is currently drilling the Dzheitune (Lam) B / 159 well.
Dragon Oil CEO Abdul Jaleel Al Khalifa said the company has put six wells into production within the 2011 drilling campaign.
