Subsea 7 has secured an $80m contract for the installation of offshore equipment at the Chevron-operated Gorgon project, offshore Western Australia.
Work under the project includes transportation and installation of subsea umbilicals from Barrow Island to the Gorgon and Jansz fields.
The umbilicals will be transported using the Seven Seas vessel and installed at a water depth of 1,350m using the onboard advanced deepwater flex-lay system.
Subsea 7 will also undertake trenching work of up to 70km from Rockwater 2 to stabilise and protect the main umbilicals.
