Tangiers Petroleum has completed the first phase of its deep seismic interpretation and evaluation of new deeper gas play concepts at its WA-442-P and NT / P81 exploration permits in the Southern Bonaparte Basin, offshore Australia.

The company identified two, four-way dip structural closures – Nova and Super Nova – which are located within the Devonian age interval below the Top Bonaparte seismic horizon.

The Nova structure has a crest at 3,425m based on a preliminary time-to-depth correlation and a closure area of 240km², while the Super Nova structure is deeper with its crest at 6,085m and a closure area of 232km².

The company is preparing an estimate of the initial prospective resources and will continue its operation of identifying additional prospects in the offshore Devonian section by mapping additional horizons over the next few months.
