Norwegian firm Det Norske Oljeselska has received approval to start drilling well 3 / 4-2S in production licence 356 in the North Sea.
The well will be drilled using the Maersk Guardian mobile facility in water depths of 51m.
Drilling will start in late September / early October 2011 and is expected to take 50 days to complete.
A potential well test is planned with an additional 20 days, and a potential sidetrack with an additional 14 days.
PL 356 is owned by Det Norske Oljeselska, which holds a 60% interest, and Resol Exploration Norge, which owns the remaining stake.
