ConocoPhillips Skandinavia, a subsidiary of ConocoPhillips, has received a drilling permit from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for a North Sea well.
Wellbore 8/10-3 will be drilled from the Maersk Gallant drilling facility at position 57°02’23.48” north and 3°17’01.82” east.
The drilling program for wellbore 8/10-3 applies to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence (PL) 331. ConocoPhillips is the operator, with a 40% ownership interest.
The other licencees are Petoro with 20% and StatoilHydro with a 40% ownership interest. PL 331 was awarded in APA 2004.
The drilling permit has been granted on the condition that all permits and consents required by other authorities have been secured before the drilling activity commences, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
