Technology company Darwin Offshore Logistics has secured a one-year contract worth $10m from CNOOC Australia E&P.
Darwin Offshore will offer logistics support for CNOOC’s Timor Sea rig in Australia. The logistics support comprises the chartering of vessels and helicopters, crew changing, fuel and food service.

The field is about 450km north-west of Darwin. It lies slightly to the west of the Bayu-Undan operation, which pumps gas to the ConocoPhillips LNG plant at Wickham point.
CNOOC director and geologist Kuang Liu said that the company plans a three-year exploration programme.
“We are just at the exploration stage – there is no resource estimate,” he told Nationwide News.
Gas will be transported to Darwin either along its own pipeline or through a spur to the Bayu-Undan field.
