Australia’s Incremental Petroleum has suspended the Kuzey Ikihoyuk-1 exploration well in Turkey after hitting gas.
The Turkish wildcat well was drilled to a total depth of 390m in the Edirne licence.
Six perforation intervals from 231m to 295m were tested in the past week.
An initial test on the two lower zones shows gas flowing at 0.38 million cubic feet per day (MMcfd) with no water from 288.3m to 295m.
Incremental operates the Edirne project on western Turkey’s Thrace basin with a 55% stake on behalf of Otto (35%) and local partner Petraco, which holds a 10% stake.
