Deepwater drilling contractor Diamond Offshore Drilling has reported revenues of $946.4m for the second quarter of 2009, compared with $954.4m in the same quarter of 2008.
The company has also reported a net income of $387.4m, or $2.79 per share, for the second quarter of 2009, compared with the net income of $416.2m, or $2.99 per share, in the year-ago quarter.

For the six months ended 30 June, the company reported net income of $736m, or $5.29 per share on a diluted basis, compared with net income of $706.7m, or $5.08 per share on a diluted basis, for the same period in 2008.

Revenue for the six months ended 30 June was $1.8bn, compared with $1.7bn for the first six months of 2008.
