Construction and engineering company Grenland Group has delivered seven subsea structures to Technip Norway for use on the Gjøa field.

Technip Norway will deploy the structures to tie in the Gjøa floating platform with the subsea systems on the field.

At the time of delivery, the overall weight of the structures was nearly 500t.

The Nkr40m contract was awarded by Technip in mid-2008 and includes the fabrication of structures for the Gjøa structures, RFO project and tie-ins.

Grenland had earlier delivered to FMC Technologies five big subsea structures, with a total weight of more than 1,700t.

Gjøa’s development operator is StatoilHydro and the production operator will be Gaz de France Norge when the field comes on stream in 2010.

Gjøa is an oil and condensate (light oil) field located southeast of Florø, Norway.
