Hyduke Energy Services has been awarded a $16.5m (C$17.4m) contract from a Mexican drilling contractor for four partial drilling rig equipment packages.
The contract will be fulfilled over the next five months, with the delivery of the initial rig package scheduled for December, and the last rig package in March 2010.
Hyduke president and CEO Gordon McCormack said the company secured the contract in the face of stiff competition from North American equipment manufacturers.
“International market development is a key part of Hyduke’s strategic plan and our strong commitment to servicing our international customers is demonstrated by our continued success in international markets,” he said.
