Engineering contractor Acergy SA has bagged a $500m contract from Chevron Nigeria for work on the Escravos gas development programme offshore Nigeria.
The engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, tie-in and commissioning contract involves the procurement and erection of more than 130km of pipelines at the development, which lies in up to 40m of water.
The contract work also involves the fabrication and erection of three subsea tie-ins and 15 risers, and the erection of more than 40 crossings.
Engineering is expected to begin immediately, with offshore erection to begin in the last quarter of 2010.
